Maybe I arrive later, but Kickstarter is my best discovered for this month. It’s the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world. The claim: Fund & Follow creativity.
If you have a project, you will go to this platform to find the investors. Every months a lot of projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology and other creative fields are upload to reach the goal. The website is featured on CNN, Wired, Good, Pichfork, NPR and The New York Times.
It’s considerate as a new form of commerce and patronage, because this is not an investment or lending. The project creators keep 100% ownership.
My favourite project is PadPivot.
